S.A.F.E. Recovery & Wellness LLC
I/DD & Family Support

Support for individuals & families navigating I/DD — on your terms.

Practical, respectful, one-on-one support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the families who love them.

These are private-pay (self-pay) support services available today. We are in the process of pursuing insurance and Medicaid provider enrollment — we’ll update this page the moment that changes.

Who You’ll Work With

Experienced, respectful, family-centered.

Kiandra Hoggard brings 8 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and 10 years working with children and youth. She has previously operated an Alternative Family Living (AFL) home — this work is close to her heart, not just her profession.

She especially loves helping young adults discover their passions, connect with resources, pursue school or certifications, and build the safety, confidence, and skills to shape the life they want. She’s also deeply passionate about family reunification for youth in foster care — work that pairs naturally with S.A.F.E.’s Mothers Circle and family stabilization services.

Family Navigation & Education

Help understanding services, waiver programs (like NC Innovations), school (IEP) processes, and next steps.

Community Integration Support

Accompanying individuals to build confidence in community settings — errands, appointments, and social activities.

Questions & Answers

Good to know.

Is this a day program?

No — these are individual, one-on-one support sessions, not a group day program.

Do you provide hands-on personal care?

No — companionship and coaching only. Hands-on personal care requires a separately licensed home care agency.

Do you take insurance or Medicaid?

Not yet — private pay only while enrollment is in progress. We’ll announce here the moment that changes.

Is this clinical treatment?

No — this is non-clinical coaching, education, and support, not therapy, ABA, or a substitute for medical or behavioral treatment.
